This 30x40 mixed media piece depicts a journey. The background is textured with journaling and various scraps of paper then painted over with a black and white acrylic underpainting and glazed with layers of color. The type of journey is subjective to each viewer’s experiences. We see her seated, comfortable with her form and gazing toward the break in the storm cloud, awaiting the tide of fortune to evolve. The piece is finished with a repurposed frame with glass insert and hanging materials attached.
